The winning
entry was submitted by Bryan J.
Gritton. It was:
After
four weeks of rain dancing, Ruben finally returns triumphantly with
enough water to make his coffee.
Some
of the others (in no particular order):
- The smell of coffee was in the air at
Roscoe Street. But mysteriously the pot was empty. I'd have to find more
fast! (Donna Messick)
- "[hysterical laughter] come little rain
drops....come percolate in my coffee pot! .. yes! YES! (Bryan Chang)
- Must get medicine to the village...no
matter the cost. (Nick Clodfelder)
- "Do we need a texture of this?" (Matthew
Carter)
- "Forget squeegee kids, instant road-side
coffee kids are the wave of the future" (Nick Almighty)
- Ruben models "The Pot" the latest melee
weapon added to Duke Nukem Forever. Interactivity is brought to whole new
levels when every household item can be a weapon. (David Hottal)
- Due to a lack of recently released game
titles, 3D Realms, short of funds, forces it's employees to sell coffee to
passing motorists, 24 hours a day...but popularity has dramatically
decreased with the average ETA of a single cup being "when it's done".
(Comrade Narf ???)
- A dazed Ruben wanders aimlessly through
the night in search of a 24 hour Starbucks. (Geoffrey Wright)
- Ruben wasn't completely broke, he still
had a pot to piss in. (Jonathan Humphreys)
- DJ Rube:
"I'm in tha parkin lot/
With ma coffee pot/
Don't ask why/
Or you might get shot.
Peace out." (Brian Dell)
- "Time to make the donuts." (Alex Chee)
- In recent news a man identified as Ruben
Cabrera was arrested today for wondering about the streets in a desperate
attempt to convince female motorists that he is in fact Disney's Aladdin
and that if they would join him in his "lamp" that he would grant them
three wishes. (Jeff Snow)
In reality, this is
Ruben Cabrera doing.. we have no idea what
he was doing, but he was outside with a coffee pot.

And then there's this from
Yann Richer. Normally, as a rule, I don't take submissions which are
picture edits, but this was too funny. Had to use it. ;)
